Archived Data in Play
Archived data refers to any data that can add to a qualitative outside of interviews and observations. These can include documents, brochures, fliers, visual data, poems and music that the participant might want to share, photo albums, etc. Because qualitative research is open to multiple sources of information, archived data helps to add context and find ways for the researcher to enagage meaningfully to obtain in-depth understanding of the issue unde rinvestigation
